Frank Bradley (1903 - 1995) studies at the Manchester College of Art and the Newlyn School of Painting under Stanhope Forbes. He has been exhibited in Paris, the USA, Victoria and Albert Museum, Manchester City Art Gallery and with the Lancashire and Cheshire Artists. He had a solo show at Salford Art Gallery in 1958. He was a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy, also showing with United Society of Artist.
Botany Mill was one of the oldest textile mills, built in 1791 at the beginning of the industrial revolution. It ceased to operate in 1941 and was eventually destroyed by fire, the site being cleared in the early 1950s.
