The colourful and vibrant paintings of Canning have made him a rising star of the British art scene. His considerable reputation has been built on his extraordinary use of colour, a new way of looking at landscape. He was first selected for the Royal Academy Summer Show at the age of 21 and has seen his reputation grow ever since. At the age of 23 he became the youngest artist ever elected an Associate of the Royal Society of British Artists. He won the Bronze Medal at the Paris Salon in 1994.
His work features in many of the most prestigious corporate collections in Europe and America.
